Join our team at Keolis Amey Metrolink (KAM), the largest light rail network in the UK!

We are currently recruiting for Head of Operations to join our Service Delivery team within Manchester’s iconic Metrolink.

As a Head of Operations, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the frontline driver teams, leading our people to optimal operational efficiencies and putting the customer at the heart of all our decision making. You will be responsible for key strategic initiatives focused on the attraction, retention and operational excellence and performance improvement of your teams.  

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Leadership of a high performing frontline management and driver team.
  • Manage operational and occupational safety and security for your service.
  • Support the delivery of KAMs contractual obligations to Travel for Greater Manchester (TfGM).
  • Collaborate with our recognised Trade Unions for all industrial relation matters for employee engagement and service improvement.
  • Work on strategic projects to enhance the employee experience and deliver operational excellence.

We need someone who will not be afraid to challenge the status quo, hold gravitas across the company and create a high performing workforce through motivation, engagement and visible leadership.   • An annual salary of up to £78K dependant on experience.
  • A   permanent, full-time contract (37.5 per week).

What we will need to check:

If you are successful, we will need to complete several pre-employment checks prior to you starting. These include.

  • Proof of address.
  • Evidence of right to work in the UK.
  • References from previous employment or studies from the last 3 years.
  • Pre-employment medical (level subject to role).
  • Criminal Records self-declaration check, in line with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974).
