A fantastic opportunity to join the team as an IT Apprentice. Whether you’re starting your career, wanting to learn new skills or looking for a career change we will support you to drive forward your knowledge, skills and experience.

Each day will be different and will bring new challenges as you work towards providing general and routine IT support to staff across the business. You will gain experience and get involved with basic IT diagnostics and fixes, undertake routine maintenance of resources and equipment, support of common software packages and other general IT tasks to enhance your development all under the supervision of a team who care about delivering an awesome service.

The role is an 18 month apprenticeship contract.

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Learn to maintain an up-to-date and accurate database of hardware and software
  • Learn to effectively operate a range of mobile devices including phones, laptops, and tablets
  • Apply structured techniques to common and non-routine problems, testing methodologies and troubleshooting and analyses problems by selecting the digital appropriate tools and techniques in line with organisation guidance and to obtain the relevant logistical support as required
  • Learn the importance of disaster recovery and how a disaster recovery plan works and support KAM to maintain this
  • Assist in the deployment of computer hardware and software
  • Learn to repair and maintain equipment and prepare routine equipment for use, under the direction / instruction of others within strict time scales.
  • Learn to work under pressure with excellent attention to detail to maintain a high standard of service
  • Learn to develop professional working relationships with multiple stakeholders

If you are successful, we will need to complete several pre-employment checks prior to you starting. These include.

  • Evidence of right to work in the UK.
  • References from previous employment or studies from the last 3 years
  • Pre-employment medical (level subject to role).
  • Criminal Records self-declaration check, in line with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974).
